One dead in anti-US protest in Karachi

One person died in Karachi as protest demonstrations have been staged across the country against blasphemous film released in the United States. One person was killed and several others sustained injuries when police used sticks and water cannons and fired in the air to disperse demonstrators at the US Consulate on Sunday. The rally was staged by Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen to protest the blasphemous film released in the United States. After being dispersed‚ the protestors have decided to stage a sit in at Numaish area. Meanwhile‚ protest demonstrations were also staged across the country against the anti-Islam film.
